Earthquake Story

An earthquake hit the San Fransisco area at 8:12 AM PDT.  The quake came in at a 6.4 on the Richter scale and destroyed a large amount of property.  McHenry's Auto Supply (2342, Plum Street) was one of the many places that got affected by the quake.  The building later collapsed and killed two people and injuring six.  Three of the injured were in critical condition and were rushed to the hospital.  A man across the street from McHenry's said that he could feel the quake come in and spike around fifteen seconds into it.  The quake was felt from hundreds of miles away from the epicenter in Hayward Hills.  Firefighters came to McHenry's and supported the building with ropes.  However, the ropes couldn't hold forever which resulted in the 2 deaths and 6 injuries.
